IfA Open House

IfA Open House 2013

On Wednesday, November 20th 2013, the Automatic Control Laboratory (IfA) would like to welcome all students interested in automatic control to the IfA Open House. The event starts at 4.30pm in ETF E1 with an introduction to the different groups in our lab given by the professors John Lygeros, Manfred Morari, and Roy Smith. Thereafter, there will be different stations where current research topics are presented. We would like to encourage you to take this opportunity to get in touch with members of IfA and find interesting semester and master projects. The event ends with a closing pizza apero in ETL K25.

Time schedule

4.30-5.00: Presentation of the lab by the professors (ETF E1)
5.10-6.10pm: Various stations with presentations on current research topics, including

Control of Power Electronics Systems
Building Control
Control of Thermoacoustic Machines

Race Cars
Autonomous flight of miniature RC helicopters
Autonomous Sailing

The presentations will be given every 20 minutes, such that every student can attend three presentations. 6.15-open end: closing pizza apero in ETL K25. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
