IfA team achieves 3rd place in Microsoft Indoor Localisation Competition

A team of the Automatic Control Laboratory, consisting of Bachelor students Lukas Bieri, Matthias Binder, Manuel Meier, Noa Melchior, and PhD student Paul Beuchat won the 3rd place in the Microsoft Indoor Localisation Competition 2017.

The system the team designed uses Ultra Wideband (UWB) based localisation technology and achieved an accuracy of 0.604m. It was the best university-based entry in the category.
