Abstract:

Generative programming is a software engineering paradigm that, given a particular requirements specification, allows an application implementing those requirements to be automatically generated by configuring and customizing the components and the architecture provided by a software framework. Generative programming raises the level of abstraction at which an application is defined and implemented. It can potentially increase the ease of development and the reliability of the final application and is therefore of interest to domains like space where there is a need to contain costs while maintaining or enhancing overall quality.
