Abstract:

With increasing need for rapid recovery after anesthesia short acting agents are used to maintain a specific level of neuromuscular block (NMB). Dosage administration has to be frequently adjusted to individual requirements. Thus, a new closed- loop controller for Mivacurium was developed to support the anesthesiologist. Performance was evaluated in a clinical study.
