Abstract:

Spasticity treatment and evaluation plays an important role during the rehabilitation of pa-tients with central nervous lesions. In this pa-per a robot-supported approach is being pre-sented that allows the measurement of joint stiffness. This stiffness can be related to the level of spasticity appearing in the patient. The method is more objective than conventional spasticity tests.
