Abstract:

How will students study at a technical university five years from now? What will teaching be like, how will the ways research is done change? One thing seems certain: information technology will contribute to nearly every aspect of academic life. The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, ETH, develops this new academic environment, a virtual campus, under the name “ETH World”.
