Abstract:

This report is a work-in-progress version of deliverable D4.2.4-2 of the ASSERT project (the complete version is due at T0+18). The report documents the development of the Prototype Software Framework developed at ETH for the ASSERT project. The prototype software framework demonstrates the efficacy of the techniques and tools proposed in WP4.2 for the development of application-level reusable software building blocks. The framework development is articulated over three phases: domain analysis, domain design, and domain implementation. In the domain analysis phase, the target domain of the framework is defined using feature modelling techniques. In the domain design phase, the reusable components provided by the framework are modelled. Modelling is done in UML using the HRT-UML Profile for non-functional aspects and the FW Profile for functional aspects. In the domain implementation phase, a code generator is defined that automatically transforms the component models into source code.
