A Simulation and Test Framework for MR-Compatible Actuators

Abstract:

In this paper, we describe a simulation and test framework to compare the performances of three fluidic actuations for MR-compatible applications. The influence of critical parameters on the system dynamic performance is dis-cussed and will determine the hardware design. The actua-tion approach yielding optimal MR-compatibility, control response and compactness will be chosen for a prospective multiple degrees of freedom robot used for fMRI studies.
