Growth rate estimation of β L-Glutamic acid from online measurements of multidimensional particle size distributions

Abstract:

A novel setup to measure online multidimensional particle size distributions was introduced and its abilities were demonstrated by monitoring the crystal growth of β L-glutamic acid crystals. An nD PBE model was implemented and parameter estimation was successfully performed by combining 2D PSD data and concentration measurements. The validity of the obtained parameters was confirmed by comparison with additional verification experiments and literature data.
