Abstract:

In this Semester Thesis a complete framework for using the X20 family of the B&R controllers with a new ORCA Embedded Control and Sensing Platform is described. Both the hardware and software solutions are presented, creating a complete high-level development environment. The capabilities include serial port transmission, Bluetooth communication with a car, logging data and a multi-functional web interface. A nal result of the project is an Automation Studio blank project template, ready for plugging-in the ANSI C algorithm code. The template was tested with an existing PID controller and proved to be stable and fully functional.
