Abstract:

The problem of attitude control of a hydrofoil emerges as an example from sailing Moth class sail boats. Thes boats are able to lift their hull completely out of the water using hydrofoils. The lift height is usually controlled with a simple mechanical device at controlled by the sailor. To study such a system a first prototype has been built which is towed by a motor boat and controlled by human. In this study I will build a controller taking care of the boats attidude and water level
