Beschreibung:

reduced scale solar vehicle is under construction at IfA as a platform to investigate efficient energy management and autonomous vehicle steering schemes. In previous works on the drive system, a field oriented model predictive torque control scheme and a rotor position observer were implemented and tested (Josef Cupic’s DA) and they were employed by the motion control system and tested on the vehicle (Sebastian Allemann SA). A motor test rig was also realized in order to facilitate the test of the drives (Josef Cupic’s DA). The aim of this master project is to improve driving performance at low speed. To this end, the position observer needs to be completed by a signal injection based observer that would accurately detect the rotor position at zero and low speed, thus enabling better control of the torque.
