Biographical Sketch:
Felix Bagdasarjanz was born on March 8, 1945 in Winterthur. Following graduation from high school and studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich, Department of Electrical Engineering, he graduated as Dr.sc.techn. in 1975. During his studies and throughout the period of his research activity at the "Institut für Hochfrequenztechnik" (Prof. Borgnis), his main interest was focused on information technology, in particular the field of data transfer which was new at that time, as well as the theory of communication systems. Felix Bagdasarjanz' joining BBC in 1975, where he started in radio communications, marks the beginning of his professional career during which he advanced from Manager Development / Radio Communications to Member of the Executive Management team of ABB Switzerland with responsibility for "Industrie und Gebäudetechnik". In between Felix Bagdasarjanz held positions as Manager "Development of military avionic defense systems" at Oerlikon-Contraves AG and later as Manager of Systec, as well as director of ABB for ABB Drives AG and ABB Industrie AG. Felix Bagdasarjanz maintained his close links to technical science. For many years, he has been acting as main speaker for "Technical Management" in Swiss Management courses (SKU). As speaker at various events, he has been very much involved in issues of innovation management, technology development, as well as in the development of successful technical products and market services.
