An overview of the research activities of the vision and autonomous navigation lab at the Universita` di Padova

The research activities spun from the development of driver models for completing closed loop simulations with multibody models of cars, motorcycles and aircrafts, to dynamic vision and sensor networks. In this seminar we will present an overwiew of the activities describing in some detail the projects on motorcycle control and sensor networks for surveillance.

Biographical Sketch:
Ruggero Frezza obtained, in 1990, a PhD in applied mathematics at the University of California Davis. He is now associate professor at the department of information engineering at the Universita' di Padova. He coordinates the research activities of the vision and autonomous navigation laboratory. His research interests cover models of stochastic processes, computer vision and control of nonlinear systems. The laboratory coordinated by Ruggero Frezza has generated several spin off operating in diverse economical sectors.
