Rehabilitation Engineering

Introduction

Rehabilitation Engineering is undertaken as a joint project between the Automatic Control Laboratory at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich and Spinal Cord Injury Centre at the Uniklinik Balgrist. The objective of the various groups are to develop industrial strength walking and grasping rehabilitation systems for subjects with stroke and spinal cord injury(SCI). In addition the group is designing advanced man-machine interfaces and sensors for rehabilitation applications.
