I investigate incentive mechanisms across different timescales. The goal is to find certifiable algorithms that improve the coordination of resources and stakeholders in the power grid that might not cooperate a priori. By designing the right incentive schemes (that act both in real time and longer term), more active participation in grid-supporting services is to be induced. This way, I hope to make future energy systems more efficient and reliable. To get there, I rely on theoretical tools from game theory, optimization, and control theory.
