Additional information
Kevin received his PhD in Civil Engineering (concentration in Water Resources Engineering and Science) from the University of Illinois, where he also received his M.S. (Civil Engineering) and B.S. (Mechanical Engineering). In his research, Kevin adapts techniques from system dynamics and control theory to analyze coupled human-natural systems and improve water resources management. His past work includes safety verification for agricultural nutrient management, optimal reservoir control within co-evolving socioeconomic systems, and analysis of interconnected food-energy-water systems. In the course of these works, Kevin has collaborated with economists, hydrologists, electrical engineers, environmental engineers, and bioprocessing engineers.
