Research area

My research interests lie in the intersection of Game Theory and Model Predictive Control (MPC), combining both control paradigms in a new scheme called Receding Horizon Games. Specifically, I am interested in the closed-loop behaviour that emerges when self-interested agents repeatedly compete for a shared resource, taking into account future predictions and constraints. In addition to my interest in theoretical aspects, such as closed-loop stability analysis, I am also excited to apply Receding Horizon Games to large-scale infrastructure problems. These applications often require varying degrees of cooperation, privacy protection, and distribution.

Since May 2021, I have been a PhD student at the Automatic Control Laboratory (IfA) at ETH Zürich, working in Prof. Dörfler's group. In my PhD thesis, I focus on combining Game Theory with MPC in a control approach, which we refer to as Receding Horizon Games. I completed my undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Surrey, UK, and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2018. Then, in 2021, I obtained an MSc in Biomedical Engineering at ETH Zürich, specializing in modeling and control. During my MSc, I conducted research in Prof. Zeilinger's group on Gaussian processes and control. For my master's thesis, I worked on real-time gradient-based nonlinear MPC, analyzing the stability of the scheme and applying it to anesthesia control, again in Prof. Dörfler's group.
